On February 27, 2016 Rainbow Intercultural Dialogue Center esteblished a Panel under the name of "Building Leadership Capacity" among high school students in Monrovian schools. The aim of this Panel was to encourage students to be investigative, tolerant  and charitable not only in Leadership Positions but also in any position they will occupy in future. There were five Panelists.

First Panelist's name was Idrissa Cisse, President of Muslim congress and High School Student Council of Government. He defined "Leadership" notion and he listed up Six(6) "Es" of Leadership. Accordin to him "Leadership is not a process but rather practices that which a leader must be able to perform simultaneously". And Leaders should have Six(6) qualities like:

  •     ENVISION: to see or have a clear picture of tomorrow and vibrant future a dream that you are willing to work towards the achievement of making it a reality.

  •     ENLIST: to incorporate to recruit people and let them aid in the process of shaping the perfect tomorrow.

  •     ENBODY: to be a clear replica of the kind of vision you would like to achieve, it’s like an old saying, “if you don’t believe the massager, you will not believe the message”.

  •     EMPOWER: to give people the mandate of authority to be able to move and better shape the dream.

  •     EVALUATE: to inspect your team for flaws and faults and ask the question like “are we on track? Are we progressing?) These are questions we ask and if not, we try and solve them.

  •     ENCOURAGE: to be the cheerleader, the light of hope and inspiration is to be courageous even when it’s hard to be there and cheer them, to lead them into better tomorrow. When we have an individual with these practices simultaneously, than we have something they called leadership. To encourage his or herself and others to participate and take the lead for others their family as well to follow.

Second Panelist's name was Satta f. Sheriff, Speaker of Liberia Children Representative Forum. According to her "Leaders are People Who Do the Right ThingCreate an inspiring vision of the forthcoming". In addition to that she mentioned "A vision that provides direction, Motives and inspire others to engage that vision.Effective leaders provide a rich picture of what the future will look like when their vision have been realized. It combines the analytical side of vision creation with the passion of share values, creating something really meaningful to the people being led. Leadership is about volunteering to impact the lives of a group of people with passion and commitment to change a situation. Young people in leadership in the 21st century is about influencing, and enlisting people with the aim to accomplish a common task.Leaders are born or made to motives and inspires people to engage with an achieving vision to impact lives, they are role models in their own directions and category".

Third Panelist's name was Makonady Kaba, Program officer of Centre for Counseling and Restorative Dialogue (CCRD). Below one part from her speech: "Let take a look at leadership time management, it is important to set-up your time management to help you keep up and get it done

  •     Add everything

  •     Plan ahead

  •     Be flexible

  •     Don’t get stuck

  •     Get (and stay) organized

  •     Laidback multitasking

  •     Reward your disciples

Leaders must be honest, competent, visionary, volunteer and inspirational, someone who knows the way, goes the way and shows the way. A leader is a person who live a positive example life for his people to follow. That is, he or she should not be involved in any forms of dishonesty. Such as nepotism, favoritism and deceitful. A leader should be someone who is volunteer, determined, intrepid and enthusiastic to take the lead with upright conducts for others to follow. For short, we are all a leader of our own lives. Because we will be a mother or a Father tomorrow, and we need lead ourselves on a moral path for our children or generation to fallow. Be that good example of yourself and family.

Fourth Panelist's name was Abraham M. Keita ,the founder of Giving Hope To Children Foundation and 2015 International Children’s Peace Prize winner. According to him "Leadership is the capacity or medium in which visions are turned into realities or actualities. Since the beginning of creation, there has always been a scramble for leadership. A father in the home makes sound decisions that become effective on their children. A pilot on the plane consults the crew (his/her followers) on what he/she wishes for the plane such as what time to depart or arrive. These are all symptoms of leadership. Leaders are people who provide directions for people to achieve a common desire. Leaders are volunteers; they render services to humanity without being paid or coerced. A leader who does not volunteer to transform people’s lives but rather to get fame and rewards, is already a failed leader. Such leader seeks to satiate only his/her personal aggrandizement. Leadership does not come with specified moral traits or characteristics, but people (leaders) who ascend to leadership roles come with characteristics that motivate and inspire people to follow them in achieving desired goals. This is called the Trait Theory of Leadership. Honesty, Trustworthiness, selflessness, compassion, vision, etc., are good moral traits that a good leader possesses. Leaders are those who lead people and do not rule people. They provide services to humanity on the basics of volunteerism. A leader knows the way, shows the way and goes the way. A leader should be able to lead himself/herself; i.e. living by examples that the followers can follow. A leader is not someone who can tell people to do what he cannot do. Leadership is an act of Volunteerism".
